On Friday, 9/6/2013 MNsure announced selected rates for Minnesotans seeking coverage though the new health care exchange. Many of these rates have gotten people excited with catastrophic coverage starting as low as $77 per month for a 25 year old. A 25 year old could pay as little as $91 per month for bronze coverage; a 40 year old may pay as little as $115 per month for bronze coverage and even a 60 year old may be able to get coverage for as little as $245 per month.
All of the medal level plans will offer the standard set of essential health benefits. They may have very different networks and it seems this is one way that carriers are trying to differentiate themselves. If your doctor matters to you, shop carefully!
